My name is Enzo Turci, but you can call me “DaMartian.” I am the artist behind everything you’ve explored so far, and I’m excited to share my creative journey with you.
The Artistic Journey
My work spans a variety of mediums, including digital art, canvas, and paper, allowing me to explore the vast landscape of artistic expression. For much of my artistic journey, I focused on charcoals and acrylic paints, captivated by their versatility and the tactile experience they offer. In 2021, I began experimenting with digital painting, which opened up new avenues for creativity and innovation. This shift allowed me to build a collection that reflects my progress in the digital medium, showcasing how technology can enhance traditional artistic practices. In 2024, I embraced oil painting and have never looked back, finding joy in the rich textures and depth that oils provide.
Self-Taught, Driven by Curiosity
You might wonder if I have formal training in art, but the truth is, I am entirely self-taught. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, I have forged my own path, experimenting with various techniques and styles. This journey has led me to develop a unique approach I refer to as “combinations.” This concept involves blending techniques from different mediums and materials to create a harmonious dialogue within my artwork.
Inspired by the Masters
As I continue to develop my personal art style, I draw inspiration from the great masters, including Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Rembrandt. Their mastery of light, shadow, and human emotion profoundly influences my work. I strive to integrate their timeless techniques with my modern interpretations, creating pieces that resonate with both classical and contemporary themes.
Artistic Philosophy: A Sensory Journey
My artistic philosophy is rooted in the belief that a final image should not only be visually beautiful but also emotionally impactful. I aim for each piece to unfold before the viewer’s eyes, inviting them to embark on a sensory journey. As they scan through the brushstrokes and intricate details, I want them to experience controlled bursts of emotion, a dance of feelings inspired by the visual narrative.
